Join us in taking a moment to recognize a man who has put in an amazing total of 24,205 minutes of therapy during his stay here. With over 400 hours of therapy behind him, Jeffrey Shout is ready to return home. Mr. Shout first came to us in a neck collar with limited movement, as a result of a fall. He was hoping for a short term stay to get back on his feet and home with his family. Unfortunately, it took much more hard work and perseverance to get to where he is today. Although he had his share of good and bad days, he never lost sight of his goal. “I made the decision to work hard so that I could return home,” says Mr. Shout. He stayed busy with therapy and activities, making friends along the way. Mr. Shout has become a familiar face in the halls to staff, residents and visitors and will be greatly missed. Despite his departure from the facility, he still has plans to return as a visitor and maintain the friendships he has developed in his time here. “I thank everyone here [at Bourbon Heights] that has helped me get this far. I couldn’t have done it on my own. Also, I thank the Lord for helping me.”
Mr. Shout, we wish you the best and look forward to your visits! Thank you for choosing Bourbon Heights as your home during your rehabilitation, we have enjoyed having you here!
