Social Services Director/Activities Director

As Social Services Director, Tonya Hamilton is responsible for meeting the resident’s psychosocial needs, this includes social, emotional, and mental health needs of each resident. Along with these needs, Tonya and her assistant Wendell help coordinate physician appointments, dental appointments, and transportation for the residents. Tonya and Wendell work together with all departments to ensure the residents have a good quality of life during their stay. They can often be found visiting with residents and meeting with families to help coordinate discharge plans after a short term stay or ensuring all the resident needs are being met.

Tonya obtained her Bachelor in Social Sciences degree in 1997 from Morehead State University. She currently lives in Owingsville with her husband of 23 years and her 2 children. As a recent addition to Bourbon Heights, she states “I am very happy to be a part of the Bourbon Heights team”.

Barbara Traylor and her team strive to provide a clean and sanitary environment for our residents, visitors, and employees. Barbara works with each department and employee to ensure the safety, comfort, and equipment needs of the residents are met. She can often be found interacting with the residents, tending the flower beds around the building, or helping out wherever needed. Since 1979, Barbara has continued to be an asset to Bourbon Heights’ residents and employees.

In her spare time, Barbara enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and fishing with her husband.

Sandy Hedges-Livingood, LPN

Adult Day Health Center Director

Sandy Hedges, LPN plans, directs, and oversees all of the daily activities in the Adult Day Care Center. She plans activities, special meals and snacks, crafts, outings, music, exercise, and goals for each client with input from the clients and family members. Sandy, along with her staff ensure that the clients that attend the day can participate in all activities of their choosing, have a safe, comfortable environment, and continue to enjoy a quality of life they may not have outside of the center.

Sandy feels that God has planned her entire life up until this point to be in this position at Bourbon Heights, Inc. and the Joseph Allen Adult Day Health Care Center. Sandy lives in Paris and has been the Bourbon County Coordinator for the Blessing Ball for several years and has worked with Special Olympics as well. She enjoys spending time with her family and giving back to her community.

Therapy Director

As the Therapy Director, Maddy and her team of therapists and therapy assistants ensure residents receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to strengthen and enhance the abilities of the resident. Each plan of care is individualized to meet the specific goals and discharge plans of the residents. Working with all other departments, therapy is an integral part of the residents’ quality of life. Whether a resident is short term, long term, inpatient or outpatient, Maddy and her team are ready to help the residents succeed.

Maddy graduated from Brown Mackie College as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She joined Functional Pathways in March 2017 and has experience as a State Registered Nursing Assistant as well ensuring she understands the care needs of the residents. Maddy lives in Carlisle and enjoys spending time with her family.
