AdministratorAs Administrator, Charlotte Roberts is responsible for the daily operations of the facility as directed by the Board of Directors, ensuring quality resident care and fulfilling the mission of Bourbon Heights, Inc.
Charlotte obtained her Associates in Accounting from Maysville Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Midway College. Working at Bourbon Heights, Inc. since 1995, Charlotte started at the ground level and worked her way to Administrator in 2014.
As a single mom, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her daughters, Katy and Kristin, reading and swimming in her spare time.
Dining Services DirectorAs Dining Services Director, Kim Mullins is responsible for all operations of Dining Services, including ordering, inventories, menus, and resident and employee meal satisfaction. Kim works with the Registered Dietician to create meal plans that feature high-quality, nutritious food and ensure that all diets are incorporated when ordered by the resident physician.
Kim Mullins started her career at Bourbon Heights in 2007 with a multitude of experience in the food industry. In June 2009, she completed her registration as a Registered Certified Dietary Manager and continues to take educational classes to learn new techniques to share with her employees. Kim enjoys spending time with her grandson and family and is a dedicated caregiver to her mother.
Janet Caswell, RN
MDS/Care Plan CoordinatorAs the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator, Janet Caswell and her team are responsible for completing state required documentation on each resident quarterly and coordinating care between the resident, family and employees. Janet and her team can be found interacting and interviewing residents, meeting with families, and working with employees on ensuring each part of the team has the information needed to ensure quality resident care. As nurses, these ladies can also be found lending a helping hand where needed, whether filling in for an employee or helping with resident care while completing their duties, they are always willing to go the extra mile.
Janet completed her nursing degree from Northern Kentucky University in 1986 while raising 3 children and helping to run a farm. Janet has worked for more than 20 years at Bourbon Heights, Inc. and calls us her second home. She has 12 grandchildren and enjoys spending time with them, her children and step children and her husband of 21 years.
Maintenance DirectorAs Maintenance Director, Anthony Collier and his team are responsible for the overall maintenance of the building. This includes the daily maintenance of lights, paint, equipment repair, plumbing, and heating and air, along with special projects, such as remodeling the beauty shop, room or apartment as needed. Anthony and his team can also be found visiting with the residents while they work and helping with special activities throughout the year.
Anthony started with Bourbon Heights, Inc. in 2013. He enjoys serving the residents and staff of Bourbon Heights and meeting the ever-changing challenges that the Maintenance Department provides. Anthony previously owned a commercial and residential construction business. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys being outdoors.
Deanna Eads, R.N.
Director of NursingAs Director of Nursing, Deanna Eads oversees the nursing department, which is the largest department and is the heart of resident care. Deanna can often be found interacting and helping the residents and nursing employees throughout the day and ensuring they have the knowledge, skill, and compassion to carry out their responsibilities With 109 residents, the nursing department never stops, often receiving calls in the middle of the night and on weekends, Deanna is always available for the residents and employees.
Deanna began her career at Bourbon Heights in February 2003 as a Unit Coordinator and assumed the responsibility of Director of Nursing in July 2003. Deanna enjoys spending time with her daughters and stepsons, along with her 14 grandchildren. She also enjoys reading and sewing in her spare time.
Housekeeping Director/Central Supply DirectorBarbara Traylor and her team strive to provide a clean and sanitary environment for our residents, visitors, and employees. Barbara works with each department and employee to ensure the safety, comfort, and equipment needs of the residents are met. She can often be found interacting with the residents, tending the flower beds around the building, or helping out wherever needed. Since 1979, Barbara has continued to be an asset to Bourbon Heights’ residents and employees.
In her spare time, Barbara enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and fishing with her husband.
Social Services DirectorAs Social Services Director, Tonya Hamilton is responsible for meeting the resident’s psychosocial needs, this includes social, emotional, and mental health needs of each resident. Along with these needs, Tonya and her assistant Wendell help coordinate physician appointments, dental appointments, and transportation for the residents. Tonya and Wendell work together with all departments to ensure the residents have a good quality of life during their stay. They can often be found visiting with residents and meeting with families to help coordinate discharge plans after a short term stay or ensuring all the resident needs are being met.
Tonya obtained her Bachelor in Social Sciences degree in 1997 from Morehead State University. She currently lives in Owingsville with her husband of 23 years and her 2 children. As a recent addition to Bourbon Heights, she states “I am very happy to be a part of the Bourbon Heights team”.
Maddy Marsh, COTA
Therapy DirectorAs the Therapy Director, Maddy and her team of therapists and therapy assistants ensure residents receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to strengthen and enhance the abilities of the resident. Each plan of care is individualized to meet the specific goals and discharge plans of the residents. Working with all other departments, therapy is an integral part of the residents’ quality of life. Whether a resident is short term, long term, inpatient or outpatient, Maddy and her team are ready to help the residents succeed.
Maddy graduated from Brown Mackie College as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She joined Functional Pathways in March 2017 and has experience as a State Registered Nursing Assistant as well ensuring she understands the care needs of the residents. Maddy lives in Carlisle and enjoys spending time with her family.
Admissions/Business Office ManagerAs Admissions and Business Office Manager, Julie is usually the first person that families meet. Julie shares her compassion from being a State Registered Nursing Assistant since 2009 to help guide residents and families through the admission process. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Julie transitioned to the office where she uses her knowledge to help in all aspects of the office, including accounts receivables, accounts payable, payroll, employee benefits, resident trust, and financial statements.
Sandy Hedges, LPN
Adult Day Health Center DirectorSandy Hedges, LPN plans, directs, and oversees all of the daily activities in the Adult Day Care Center. She plans activities, special meals and snacks, crafts, outings, music, exercise, and goals for each client with input from the clients and family members. Sandy, along with her staff ensure that the clients that attend the day can participate in all activities of their choosing, have a safe, comfortable environment, and continue to enjoy a quality of life they may not have outside of the center.
Sandy feels that God has planned her entire life up until this point to be in this position at Bourbon Heights, Inc. and the Joseph Allen Adult Day Health Care Center. Sandy lives in Paris and has been the Bourbon County Coordinator for the Blessing Ball for several years and has worked with Special Olympics as well. She enjoys spending time with her family and giving back to her community.
